Decorating with Silver Balls

Have you ever passed something on the street and said, “I’d sure like to see you on my table”.  Sure.  This happens all the time with food.  But with silver balls?  Probably not.  Perhaps though, maybe these balls deserve a second look.  If they look this cool hanging outside of Planet Hollywood in the day, I am sure they sparkle their little hearts out at night.  And if you are like me and would like to create a fabulously modern look on your table, here are some examples of silver balls in all of their decorated glory:

Place card holders and cylinders filled with silver balls are simple and tasteful.  Use in mass for an impressive effect.

Pairing a single ball with a monochromatic floral arrangement adds a hint of sparkle.  Combine other items, such as pearls, ribbon, glitter, tinsel, or crystals in a cylinder for extra flair.  Or simply accentuate a contemporary tablescape with assorted sizes of silver balls.  Scatter casually to keep table from straying into the formal realm.

Decorating cakes or desserts with silver balls or pearls is a no-brainer.  They dress up any dessert from traditional to romatic.  Want to try this at home?  Fancy Flours is a great site to find pearls of all sizes and sheen.
